2021/22 season
Our programme for next year is underconstruction. We resume meetings in September 2022 but have lots on offer throughut the summer. Please see our Facebook page or join our WhatsApp group.
Programme for: Summer 2022
Our Summer walks programme
After an absence of 2 years, the Summer Evening Walks are back. To refresh your memories, and to
bring our new members up to speed, this is how they work: we meet at 6.00pm at the given start point,
walk for around 1.5 hours, and then adjourn to the nearest pub for a bite to eat, or just a drink. They have
always proved to be most popular; wives, husbands, partners and dogs are all welcome. The dates and
days are listed below; an email will be sent out a few days beforehand giving the start point. There will also be messages on our new WhatsApp page, more details to follow but contact Martin, Club Secretary to 'opt in' to the messages.
Monday May 30th

Tuesday June 21st - The longest day

Bill Ward —- “ In Search of ....... “

Here is what he says about his presentation:
“The talk I'd suggest doing is called "In Search of...", and explains a bit about my background, and my acting career, before going on to discuss the photographs I take (all 3 are very closely related) and why I take them... it covers pretty much the full range of my work, so plenty of landscapes and seascapes, and a bit of urban too etc.. The first half lasts just on an hour or so, and the second half 40 mins or so in which I cover "Creative Photography" (ie ICM and in-camera Multiple Exposures), which I've been doing for a just under a decade... oh, and I'll show a lot of pictures! “

In 2014 I began shooting my first abandoned building series
'Decadence', and six years on I have now built up a large portfolio taken
in some of the most striking abandoned structures, relics & ruins in
Europe and beyond.
My primary focus is capturing rich colour palettes and straight lines in
the camera, then utilising modern post-processing techniques to develop
each completed image.
