There's never an excuse for lounging around on the beach like Homer Simpson in the picture above! Both during and after the season ends in May each year we plan a number of extra activities for club members. These include practical workshops, walks, talks and outings, so bring your camera along and join us for some 'extra curricular' activity!
SSCC Annual Lunch 2020
Our annual lunch for members and their guests was held at
The Langham Hotel, Royal Parade, Eastbourne on Saturday, February 22nd 2020. A a drinks reception in the bar at 12.30pm was followed by a 3-course lunch, coffee and mints.
While we enjoyed the meal, we racked our brains to answer the table quiz on dog breeds and product brands set by Alan Carter; table 3 joined forces and, excelling themselves with most correct answers, won wine and chocs.
Every person attending the lunch was given a ticket in a grand draw, with the lucky winner receiving the prize of FREE membership for one for next season, commencing September 2020!
A good time was had by all, and thanks go to Julian Chamberlin for organising the event for the 3rd year running, and to Alan for setting the quiz. Of course a camera club lunch wouldn't have been complete without someone taking a few pics - see below!
Throughout the season (Sept - May) we offer a number of informative lectures, and details of forthcoming and recent presentations can be seen on our News tab. Our lectures are open to non-club members who are very welcome to book a seat by using the Contact Us tab.
SUMMER WALKS 2019
The evening of Monday 15th July 2019 was warm and pleasant for our final walk of the summer which started at The Plough and Harrow, Litlington. The walk was the best attended of the season, and naturally our keen SSCC photographers took their cameras with them. A few of the pictures taken on the evening can be seen in the column on the right!
