About Seven Sisters Camera Club

Who we are

Seven Sisters Camera Club is a modern, friendly  club comprised of members who enjoy all things 'photographic'  - whether the latest thing in digital technology, traditional, old school or not yet invented, we aim to cover it all!

In a recent survey of all club members, friendliness was one of the aspects of the club that the membership particularly valued.  Socialising with like-minded people is more important than individual skill level. Our guiding principles are to be a member driven friendly community while helping each other to enjoy and advance our photography.  We encourage input in decision making and members are encouraged to have a say in how the Club is run through voting.

Seven Sisters Camera Club is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) and is also a member of both the Kent County Photographic Association (KCPA) and the Sussex Photographic Federation (SXPF).  Each year we take part in inter-club championship battles run by these organisations and pit our best pics against those of our rival clubs in the area.  All members can put their images forward for selection into both external and internal competitions, and rules and advice for submitting are shown in detail on the competition tabs.

Joining

When COVID-19 restrictions have eased sufficiently for us to feel safe to resume our meetings, why not consider joining Seven Sisters Camera Club by coming along to one of our Monday evening meetings? (for what's on see our Programme).  In normal times they are held from early September to late May each year, and we warmly welcome new members whether you're a novice wanting to acquire skills or more advanced in your photographic techniques.  We are committed to continuously supporting those members wanting help to achieve their personal photographic goals.  Our Eastbourne meeting venue, St John's Hall, Meads Street, has full disabled access and facilities.

The cost of annual membership for the forthcoming season running to May 2020/21 is
FREE for existing and new members. Once you have joined you can access the Members Area on this site by logging in with the current year's Password to be found on the reverse of your enrolment card. If you have not yet received the current Member's card, see our  Membership Co-ordinator.

When we re-open 'post Covid-19 restrictions', you are welcome to pop in on one of our regular Monday evenings to see if membership is right for you, the cost of the evening for non-members is just £3.

So, when the time comes, why not come along and make some new friends, develop new skills, and have some photo fun?
